Designers often use human skulls, skeletons, animal skulls and other bones in their designs. At this time of year especially when everyone is thinking about Halloween, designers tend to add skulls to their designs to make them more spooky and eerie. What if you want to do the same? Where exactly do these designers find good, high quality skull images to use in their designs? Today, I want to teach you how to add a cool neon effect to text. This is an intermediate Photoshop tutorial where you will be playing with Gaussian blur, layer styles and rendering. As per ususal, I have included a short video tutorial at the end of this post. Experiment with the tools that you learn about here and have fun creating your very own stunning neon design.

My favourite spooky holiday is just around the corner and I'm so excited!! I absolutely love everything about Halloween. From the candies and the costumes to the office parties and the advertising, Halloween makes me giggle, it makes me shutter and it makes my hair stand on end.

In the spirit of this upcoming Hallows Eve, I thought I would do something a little different today.
