In an attempt to update the department store's image, JC Penney introduced a new logo today, and it's the first logo change in the company's 40 year history. The new logo emphasizes the new, lowercase "jcp" and places it just off-center in a red box. The logo maintains the company's signature red color and Helvetica font.

Owned by SAIC, China’s largest automaker, the MG brand has been revitalized and has a line up of all new vehicles, starting with MG6, coming to the United Kingdom first, then into global markets over the next five years. With this reemergence into the spotlight, MG has done a brand overhaul. The MG octagon is iconic, especially in the British and European market, but company hopes that the new logo will give MG an exciting and strong new face this year.

2011 Breeders’ Cup Logo Revealed

Breeders' Cup Ltd. and Churchill Downs have introduced the official event logo for the 28th running of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, which will be held Nov. 4 and 5 at the historic Louisville racetrack. The 2011 event logo incorporates the Breeders' Cup elegant purple with the Thoroughbred mark in the center of the design.

Google Valentine's Day Logos - A History

Today is Valentine’s Day and Google has done up a fancy new logo to celebrate. This year, the logo is very clearly based on the infamous design of Robert Indiana, who was a famous artist during the Pop Art movement of the 60s and 70s. He first designed the image seen in Google’s 2011 Valentine’s logo in 1964. The design originally spelled out the word “LOVE” and was used for a Christmas card of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

X-Men: First Class Logo Revealed

An official logo for director Matthew Vaughn's comic film series prequel X-Men: First Class has been released. The cool new industrial artwork, which features the iconic X-Men mansion manhole cover, looks a lot like the first teaser movie poster that was released in January. The logo appeared today on the official "X-Men: First Class" Facebook page, and features a the large familiar "X" and the text "Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters" encircling it. The logo is simple, but has a darkness to it that will hopefully reflect the film's tenor.
