Owned by SAIC, China’s largest automaker, the MG brand has been revitalized and has a line up of all new vehicles, starting with MG6, coming to the United Kingdom first, then into global markets over the next five years. With this reemergence into the spotlight, MG has done a brand overhaul. The MG octagon is iconic, especially in the British and European market, but company hopes that the new logo will give MG an exciting and strong new face this year.
This summer will see the release of the MG6 series, as the MG6 Saloon will be launched after the MG6 Fastback hatchback, which will be the first new MG in the last fifteen years when it arrives in showrooms.
A bold vibrant red has been added to the logo which was first shown off in chrome guise at the Beijing Auto Show. Red is a color which brings good luck in China and also has motors sports connotations of which MG is historically associated with. The new corporate identity will unveil across the MG dealership network in England over the next few months.
