Puma and Biomega have teamed up this Spring to bring us a new collection of stunning and highly anticipated urban bikes. Designed for freedom and ease of movement through out the cityscape, this new collection of bikes is a hybrid of both European and American styles. Each bike is available in bold, vibrant and rich colour hues. From lemon yellows to funky fuchsias and ocean turquoises, these bikes are sure to take over our city streets this summer.
For this new collection, Puma has released five models for both men and women - Disko, Funk, Nevis Man, Nevis Lady and Pico. Each of these bikes can be easily configured in a variety of different ways including different colours, sizes, folding frames, gears, carriers, etc. In addition, each of the bikes also has it’s own unique selling point. For example, the Disko has a unique anit-theft locking system built into its frame. With the Funk, you can easily switch from a single gear to a fixed gear bicycle and vice versa. The Nevis, both men’s and women’s, were built for comfort cruising while the Pico combines a BMX style bike with that of an upright bike. The Pico also comes with 8 gears and a front carrier.

These unique city bikes were designed with the urban hipster in mind. They are uber-trendy and fashionable while also being designed to be very practical, maneuverable and compact for city living.
"The objective of PUMA's new series of Biomega designed bicycles is to create unique bikes, refresh urban mobility and for an outside design lead company to share a different perspective so that we can learn from one another.,” says Antonio Bertone, Chief Marketing Officer for PUMA.
These 2010 Puma Bikes went on sale June 19th, 2010 on the Puma website. For now, they are only available for shipping to the US and Europe but Canada should not be too far behind.
