Cristopher Brian King is a graphic designer and illustrator that currently works in the independent literary publisher Melville House. For the Neversink Library collection he came up with a beautiful series of covers that have a clear editorial line. Relying on flat colours and simple illustrations, each book has a different profile (either person or animal) over a solid colour. The types chosen follow the same minimalistic style and don't overwhelm the design. The title of the book is placed in the negative space of the profile and the collection name plus author have a matching subtle typeface that doesn't interfere with the design. Needless to say, amazing and beautiful work.
