I came across this project via the Behance Network (which by the way has some great work from designers across the world) and I thought it was worth to mention. The Swiss Film Archive got an updated corporate identity thanks to the CREA School in Geneve, Switzerland, and it's a beautiful example of good design. The overall image is based on the primary shapes and colours, that is square-circle-triangle, red-yellow-blue, without it being too busy. The results are a delicate mix between bold shapes and light gradients of colour that are combined to create more complex shapes. The different applications of the basic figures are kind of similar to the trend we've been seeing lately of permutation, where the base logo is transformed into different versions of the same. I specially love the retrospective posters!
