1. Customize Alert Sounds
Are you tired of all the alert sounds on your iPhone sounding the same? Wouldn’t it be nice to have different sounds when you get a voicemail, receive a text, email or new tweet alert? If you want to be able to distinguish between your alerts without even touching your iPhone, you can. Go to Settings -> Sounds and customize away.
2. Access your Music Controls
Do you get frustrated because you always have to unlock your iPhone to access your music controls while you are on the go? Stop… you don’t have to. Double tap the home button on your iPhone when your iPhone is locked or asleep and your music controls will instantly come up. Yeah!
3. Save Web Images
Find a cool image on the web? Perhaps a logo that you don't want to forget. Want to know how you can save it so that you don’t waste any of your valuable time later looking for it? 5. Hard Reset
Having problems with your iPhone? Is the screen frozen and nothing is happening? If time is ticking and nothing is happening, try a hard reset to reboot your iPhone. Simply hold down the home button and the sleep/wake button together until your iPhone turns off. You iPhone should automatically reboot after the screen goes dark and your iPhone should be up and running smoothly again in no time.

This one is quick and easy. It’s not so much of a time-saving tactic but instead, a feature that is very useful for all sorts of daily tasks. If you have something on your iPhone screen that you want to take a quick snapshot of (ie. a favorite logo design or chat messages with a friend), press the home and the sleep/awake button at the same time. Don’t hold the buttons down or else you’ll do a hard reset, just click them both down at the same time. 7. Instantly Define Words
If you come across a word that you don’t have the time to look up in your home dictionary, try finding out the definition on your iPhone. All you have to do is highlight the word and two options will come up: copy and define. Click on ‘define’ and the iPhone built in dictionary will open to give you the word definition that you need. No longer do you have to skip over words that you don’t know. This feature gives you a quick and easy way to expand your vocabulary with a touch of a button.
