French artist Cécile Paris is working on an ongoing project called Code de Nuit. For its reference cataloge, Damien Gibot designed a beautiful edition in a very original manner. This piece collects the work of over 40 artists that have contributed to Cécile Paris' initiative, showing the different approaches to the project. The edition itself is printed on a yellow tinted paper, in the style of old notebooks. The layout follows a very classic style, favoring blank space and discreet typographic work to give preference to the display of the photographs. The cover and monogram break this "conservative" look with the use of abstract and bold-stroked black geometrical patterns over a vibrant shade of yellow.
On a side note: how beautiful are these display photographs of a weightless edition?
