Melissa Deckert is a Brooklyn based graphic designer whose work really shows a passion for details. This time I'd like to refer to her experimental work with type, the creation of a malleable typeface that transforms into the next letter.
The result is a beautiful video that shows this evolution of the alphabet from A to Z, making the transition from one letter to the other the real focus on the typographic work. The name of the project is called Change/Reaction which refers to the gesture of change from every character. The 3d models are made out of clay and the font chosen is a fixed-weight sans serif, one that allows to have a constant geometry to work on. Definitely an interesting project!
