It's been a while since Wes Anderson made the transition from indie movies into the mainstream world. There's no doubt that all of his films carry a strong dose of visual care, filled with details that engage the viewers to watch them over and over again (at least that's my case). Anderson's signature style focuses on the use of a strong visual identity throughout each one of his films, thus creating a beautiful atmosphere where the -also engaging and borderline fantasy- stories take place. This combination of dream-like scenarios and interesting story lines with a dash of naïveté are what attracts more and more people to appreciate his work.
It's no wonder then that Wes Anderson's films get a lot of fans from the creative world and also as a source of inspiration for artists and designers. San Francisco based gallery Spoke Art is holding a collective work of various authors called "Bad Dads, a Wes Anderson Tribute" where they create artwork inspired by these movies in the most diverse styles. If you're a fan you can probably recognize the references and characters, although most of them are always Bill Murray. The prints are for sale for you to add to your art collection and if you haven't seen any of his films, I'd recommend starting with my personal favorite, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou- a beautiful underwater story with impeccable aesthetic.
