The iPhone Photography Awards just announced the winners for this year’s annual iPhone Photography competition. These photos are absolutely stunning and they will definitely blow you away.
Why is this so special and why are these awards unique? This competition marks a change in the world of photography because each and every one of these photos was taken with your every day iPhone. The iPhone started out as just a phone but over the past few years, it has evolved into so much more. With its ease of use, amateur photographers are now able to snap away and instantly share their photographs online with the whole world thanks to the Internet. These amazing photos were captured mostly because everyone seems to have an iPhone on them these days so great photo opportunities were captured instead of missed.
Fifty-four photographers entered the competition this year for several countries all over the world including participants from Hong Kong, Israel, Mexico, Romania, Russia, South Africa, Sweden and Taiwan. All of the images had to be either taken with an iPhone, iPod or iPad. The photographers were not allowed to use Photoshop to alter any of their photos however they were allowed to use any of the photo filters available to them as iPhone and iPad apps. Participants were able to enter their photos under any one of the 17 different categories. The iPhone Photography Awards (IPPAWARDS) is the first iPhone photography competition that has been honoring amateur iPhone photographers since 2007. For Cool Photography logos click here.
