The logo lines was inspired by the Chinese character or word for "winter", It looks like a skier going downhill which we think it captures the energy, speed and motion quite nicely. The blue ribbon like lines have a lot of going, you can also notice a mountains in its lines, Its in line with all other olympic logos, colors and the excitement feels very Olympic like.

First thing that comes to mind is the app icon, since Skype is used mainly on smartphones, the app icon would be so much bolder, well spaced and fitted into an app icon than the old logo. Icons or logos that are too tall or too wide will always run into layout issues and these problems create headaches in the long run with marketing staff.

Mini has released a simplified version of their logo that was designed by KKBLD Berlin working alongside of Mini in house design team. The logo is basically simplified version of the logo that was being used since the relaunch in 2001, the 3d version was released after BMW purchase and re launch.

The New logo stands straight, no more italics, no motion, but the arrows are still there, if it didn't make sense to you back then, it still wont make any sense now. The type feels a bit space age and has a NASA look to it. We are not sure what that means exactly, maybe they like to communicate that their sandwiches are out of this world? who knows, but that's our impression of it.
